Spring and summer word searches
Four word searches for March to August. Two belong to a single day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter, and two belong to a whole season.
St. Patrick's Day word search
Shamrocks, rainbows, fiddles and folklore for the seventeenth of March.
Easter word search
Bunnies, baskets, chicks and chocolate. Short words, good for a first word search.
Spring word search
Tulips, tadpoles, puddles and rainbows: the outdoors between March and May.
Summer word search
Beach, campsite and back garden words for the end of term and the holidays.
Which one for which month?
St. Patrick's Day falls in the middle of March, and its puzzle is the greenest on the site: shamrocks, rainbows, fiddles and a few places in Ireland. It is a good filler for the day itself because the words are short and cheerful.
The Easter word search is about the egg hunt and the spring table: baskets, bunnies, chicks, lilies and chocolate, with church and bells for the traditional side of the day. The spring word search covers the weeks around it without the holiday, from rain showers and puddles to tadpoles and tulips, and is the one to choose for a science or nature lesson.
The summer word search is for the end of term and the long break after it. Its list is the beach, the campsite and the back garden, and the hard grid is large enough to keep an older child busy on a car journey.
